SB'02 is going to be a focused and landmark conference, and will contain trends of development from all continents. The conference in Maastricht brought forth expectations that SB'02 will be an important meeting point for sustainable building throughout the world.

SB'02 has started. An organising committee is appointed under the leadership of chairman dr. Frank Henning Holm, vice director of the Norwegian Building Research Institute. Former Minister of Environment Thorbjorn Berntsen and managing director Sverre A. Larssen of the Norwegian Federation of Construction Industry are some of the members. Manager of EcoBuild, civ.ing. Sverre Tiltnes, is the conference manager.

The target group for SB'02 is all participants in the building and real estate sector from governmental positions to contractors. We will strive to develop a timely and significant conference for the authorities, researchers, property owners and the Construction Industry itself. With the understanding that the results must be adaptable for new conditions in the building and construction sector, it is important to look after the needs of this industry.

Norway has been host for several large arrangements and has good traditions for creating social arrangements and celebrations. SB'02 will follow this tradition and we can guarantee adventure and attention beyond the expected.

All further contact will be taken care of by EcoBuild, which can be reached by okobygg@grip.no. See also the website http://www.SB02.com
