Call for Canadian Entries (closed)

SBC11 Canadian team

The Sustainable Building Challenge is an international co-operative process to develop a deeper understanding of performance assessment tools and highlight innovative sustainable building design techniques. The Challenge will form a key part of the Seventh World Sustainable Building Conference (SB11) to be held in Helsinki, Finland from October 18 to 21, 2011.

In December 2009, the iiSBE SB11 Canadian Team issued a 'Call for Entries' to search for projects that represent some of the best examples of sustainable buildings designed and developed in Canada over the past three years. The submission deadline has past and two projects selected in June 2010 are now undergoing a comprehensive evaluations so they can be presented at SB11. These projects are:
- Enermodal's new 2,150 sq. m. office building in Kitchener, Ontario; and
- Okanagan College's new 7,335 sq. m. sustainable trades training building in Penticton, British Columbia.

Please click on the links below for further information on SB11 and the submission requirements that were used to select the two projects that will represent Canada in Helsinki.
